Mountain View Hotspring Resort in Laguna

To welcome 2017, our family decided to spend the new year’s eve in Laguna. The thought of being together as a family is a bliss, but while doing it soaked in the hot pools of Los Banos, Laguna is divine. And our experience with Mountain View indeed reflected what my 2016 is – serene, contented, and satisfied.

Mountain View is located in Jade Village, Barangay Bambang in Los Banos Laguna. You will need to turn left after a bridge once you passed Splash Mountain resort and Camp Eldrige. Check-in time is 5:00PM. It was late when we arrived, around 7pm already. It was raining during our travels and we kinda missed our way. Thank God for waze, we we’re able to locate the place in no time. Building B is already occupied by the owner, so we’ve taken Building C.

The parking can accommodate up to 2 vehicles. Right in front of the indoor parking is a half-court basketball ground – somewhat gated to prevent any loose balls from dribbling around and making a mess in the main pavillion.

The main pavillion is spacious – it combines the dining, kitchen, and entertainment portions of the resort. The resort staff provided the cooking wares, although you must bring your own plates, glasses, mugs, spoons and forks. Videoke and sound system is superb and has an updated array of songs – feeling singer sa tunog!

It has 2 pools – the 6ft deep adult pool and a 3 feet lap pool. Both have slides and the water is warm enough to swim even if it is slightly raining when we came. We asked the staff to adjust the water levels to about 4ft. Most of us are vertically challenged! haha

Rooms are air conditioned and linens look and smell clean. The bathrooms are also well-kept and has a bidet. The only thing that bothers me is that there is no hot shower… We had a difficulty bathing after a swim in the morning because the water from the shower is way too cold!

You can of course bring as many of your own booze as you may like and there is no corkage fee to think about. In the morning, kuya does a routine pool cleaning.

There is a billiards pool in the loft and an additional room that can be rented. Although for our stay, we only rented the two rooms near the Pavillion. Our overall stay is good and recommendable. I will definitely come back with friends or my team!
